New Justice contracts with the New York State Dispute Resolution Association to provide arbitration services for the New York State Lemon Law Program. To request arbitration, the consumer must contact the Attorney General’s Office. The case is then sent to the State Association, processed and forwarded to the appropriate county for scheduling. Several staff and volunteer mediators are trained to arbitrate lemon law cases. The NYS Dispute Resolution Association provides this 16-hour training. New Justice Services’ staff and volunteers also serve as Arbitrators for the 5th Judicial District Matrimonial Fee Dispute Arbitration program.
